Zero - பூஜ்யம் (comes from Sanskrit). Wherever the letters ஜ or ஷ or ஹ comes, you can be sure that those
words are not originally Tamil words. Tamil doesn't have the 'ha' sounds (or
any other airy sound) in its vocabulary.
The correct Tamil word is சுழியம். When you read a
number in Tamil, zero should be read as சுழி.
More ancient Tamil words to denote
zero in texts are பாழ் and அன்று, which means no/nothing.
